Together, Frank and Carolin created a realistic picture of the cultural and behavioral aspects of infrastructure transitions: accommodation periods and points of friction for users persist, but collaborative support within a team is key to alleviating them.

🦋 We started with a blue-sky thinking exercise that led to actionable steps of supporting transitions to more locally developed infrastructures. The discussion was grounded by a practical presentation of the @nextcloud.bsky.social pilot ongoing at UvA, by Frank van Tatenhove and Carolin Schneider.
