NZ Govt says prison number likely to grow from law changes. ~11k now to ~15k by 2036. People on remand awaiting trial or sentencing to ⬆️ by 48% or from ~5k now to ~7k by 2036. Time on remand now 91 days + will be 110 days by 2036. No word on how many R innocent?
