Over the past five years, JNCC has worked alongside 11 countries, the MMO and @cefasgovuk.bsky.social through the Ocean Country Partnership Programme - delivering impact far beyond individual projects

💪Together, we’ve supported countries to designate and manage Marine Protected Areas in line with the global 30x30 ambition
We’ve strengthened science-policy, enhanced preparedness for marine pollution incidents & developed long-lasting data systems
A highlight was visiting the pelagic vessel Unity and speaking with fishermen in Fraserburgh – grounding the science in real-world experience.
