"Allow me the dignity of selecting the man I like." A shocking concept for women in the 1960's. #TOSSatNight
Here’s two minutes of the finale of the new Spirits & Shenanigans show at the Calico Saloon. The singers/ actors do a good job, but the venue is too small for the people who want to see the show, and Knott’s doesn’t stop people from spreading out their stuff and taking four chairs for 2 people.
Knott’s workers pushing the train back into the station. You get a good look at the new attachment at the front of the train.
I’m at Knott’s this afternoon, and they are testing the redone Montezooma: The Forbidden Fortress on the track between the station, the loop, and the back spur.
I forgot that there is a new earth-colored paint job for the ride building.
Stopped by Knott’s this afternoon mostly to catch the summer daytime entertainment, Miss Cameo Kate’s Western Burle-Q Revue in the Birdcage Theater and the new Spirits & Shenanigans show in the Calico Saloon.
The Cameo Kate’s Western Revue has been running during the summer for several years, and is one of my top five favorite live shows at Knott’s.
Here’s a clip of today’s actress playing Cameo Kate (there are three or four Kate’s) and her fantastic singing voice.
More photos of progress on MonteZOOMa: a themed archway near the queue entrance, progress on the station’s front train launch area, two photos of the themed attachment to the front of the train.

I saw these signs apparently celebrating America’s 250th anniversary in Knott’s Ghost Town. I asked a woman working Ghost Town
Alive if it wasn’t supposed to be the 1800s in the town of Calico, and she told me that the sign was celebrating 250 days since the town was founded. 😂
