#HorrorWritersChat start of book, Elsie would probably get me something very trendy but boring and bland. By the end of the book, Elsie is more into burning everything down. So, maybe she'd get me a flame thrower, just in case my own rock collection ever gets out of hand.
I mean, it's epistolatory. The nearest thing to an MC is the city in which it is set. Blinthorpe would probably grant me the gift of a Fata Morgana style vision of its cathedral, St Hilda's, mirrored in the sky. Or a portal embedded in the back of a scurrying sewer creature.
