The amateur hour here isn’t the use of peroxide. It’s the use of 12% instead of 25-30%. They’re gonna have to use twice as much just bc they bought a lower concentration.

At the rate the peroxide is going to be diluted in 6.7m gallons of water, the birds are going to be perfectly fine.
In terms of least toxic and least invasive methods of killing algae chemically, peroxide is probably the best method to use here.
