New York BABY
I didn’t know what a flagrant foul was until this week. Someone has to use this in a poem. It’s such a great phrase!
It’s hard not to see tonight’s win as a metaphor for the United States. We are down. Things are so bleak. But we are approaching halftime on the second Trump era. And we can change the game.
Pro tip: do not use AI to write your cover letter for a submission to a literary magazine. Seriously, just don't. It's a major turn off and very obvious and makes the editor reading your submission barf a little.
NYC: sending the Knicks all the love!
Huge congrats to @krysmalcolmbelc.bsky.social on your pub day! I could not be happier for you & I cannot wait to read your book! Love this cover from @catapultbooks.bsky.social
I agree with everything David Zirin says here. I absolutely blame Trump for the loss.
"This was supposed to be a day about the Knicks, it was supposed to be a celebration of New York. And instead it was about one authoritarian malignant narcissist."
Ooops Dave Zirin, not David. Sorry.
This is a really unusual author interview because it has a tight focus on the writing residency experience. I think those considering doing a residency would find Marjee's perspective interesting!
