An excursion yesterday to Croydon's Farthing Downs and Happy Valley in pursuit of Orchids. 🤩
A very pretty raspberry ripple-esque Heath Spotted Orchid, Dactylorhiza maculata, on a road verge in the Ashdown Forest. 😍
The patch of Sea Bindweed (Calystegia soldanella) near to the fishing boats, Dungeness is looking fresh and vibrant this early summer
The plant is found at Greatstone to the North (Kent) and to the west at Camber Dunes (Sussex) but this is the only patch on the Point

Wolf's Milk, Lycogala epidendrum, on dead Hazel wood at Happy Valley in Croydon. Starts off pink in colour, but then matures to grey/brown. I was very happy to see it! #SlimeMould

Hogweed is in flower; plenty of variation in flower and stem colour if you look closely and like white or purple, so you can be sure of finding one that looks fabulous
