He hesitated a bit as he watched her fidget with her hands.

"Yeah. I bought the whole complex a couple months ago... Hoped to turn it into a detective agency."
There were a lot of books and folders strewn about the furniture, including what seemed to be a large encyclopedia on top of a chair. The man appeared to be well-read, it seemed.

Nyx would go inside, looking around.
“So… this is like your hideout?…”

He was walking briskly towards what looked to be an old strip mall in the middle of town. A fading neon light guided him to a suite in the center of the complex. Reaching the destination, he opened the door and held it ajar, allowing her to go forward.

She nods her head, following beside him. She was still a bit skittish, but he didn’t seem like he was planning on hurting her, so that’s something.

He gestures to her, giving her a reassuring smile.
"Let's head back to my place. It's not that far from here."

He exhales in relief, looking around his environs.
"You know, I don't think this a proper place to continue this conversation... You wanna follow me for a minute?"

He approached her now, a look of concern forming on his face.
