Republicans criticize Bill Pulte, Trump's pick for DNI:
Senate Republican Leader John Thune: “We don’t need a weaponized DNI; we need professionals there.”
Senator John Cornyn (R-TX): “I see no evidence of any qualifications for that job.”
A tiny fraction of Republicans are slowly starting to realize that Trump is toxic for the midterm elections.

Former Trump aide Caroline Sunshine says unqualified Bill Pulte is a “fantastic choice” for director of national intelligence because “we don’t need any more experts.” Wrong answer. Federal law actually requires the DNI to be an expert.
CBS News has fired 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley.
Are Republicans slowly starting to grow a baby spine? First, they speak up against Trump’s $1.8 billion slush fund. Then they criticize his unqualified DNI pick, Bill Pulte. And now they have rejected Trump’s endorsed candidate for Iowa governor, Randy Feenstra.
Probably just a coincidence. 😒
Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) told reporters “we don’t need a weaponized” director of national intelligence when asked about President Trump’s appointment of Bill Pulte, the homebuilde…thehill.com
