#HeadsUp: Infinity Gate (The Pandominion Book 1), by M. R. Carey, is on US ebook sale for $3 today. I got some for random giveaway, because I *loved* this book. And the sequel even more.
I wrote briefly (or as briefly as I usually can manage) about the new ROM #1.

The thing is, what I’m after here isn’t simply interesting ways to use a regular grid to organize a page, but what it does to shift how we experience the reading itself and how that can shape meaning. Comics don’t merely add images to word stories, rather change what it means to read altogether…

I suppose we’ll now be gifted with all manner of pieces on whether he was a great artist or not. Well, he darn well was to me. 100%. How very fortunate we’ve been, to be around while he’s been at work. It’s very sad to know he’s gone.
