There are a lot of lessons to be learned from Colbert's forced exit, the big ones about govt corruption, media monopolies & censorship.
But I'll most often think about how he ended things: with class, surrounded by friends & the people he most admired, joining in their art, completely full of joy.

3 & 1/4 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he'd been living, in rural Cornwall, & decided he wanted to live with us instead.
We decided to call him Jim.
