Today we remember James Byrd Jr., dragged to his death by white supremacists because he was Black. His murder gave us the Hate Crimes Prevention Act. Sadly, laws aren't enough. As the Trump regime ignores hate-fueled violence, we must demand it enforce them. #JamesByrdJr

Why is the @splcenter.org being attacked? @maya4rights.bsky.social breaks it down: Because it fights for Black voters in Alabama & Louisiana. Because it exposes gerrymandered maps designed to "pack or crack" Black communities. Because it gives people power to dissent from this administration.
We mourn the loss of former Rep. Barney Frank — a tireless champion for civil rights, immigration, LGBTQ+ equality and fair housing. A 2012 Hubert H. Humphrey Award winner, his fight for a more just America lives on. https://tinyurl.com/3bjjy9hd

More than 40 million Americans can’t access reliable internet at home. Nearly 49% of those without access are people of color. The Digital Equity Act can fix this. #SaveDigitalEquity https://civilrights.org/blog/digital-equity-act/
@maya4rights.bsky.social said it best: "The attack on @splcenter.org is nothing more than part of a larger, broader coordinated attack on civil rights organizations." Voter suppression. Banning books. Fear. This is the pattern. Multiracial democracy is under threat and we're fighting back.

In the wake of the recent Louisiana v. Callais decision, @civilrightsorg.bsky.social and 50+ advocacy organizations are pressing Corporate America to stand up for multiracial democracy, where every voice and every vote counts. Read the full letter: https://shorturl.at/f67aU
Our president and CEO @maya4rights.bsky.social said it best: "SPLC has been targeted by extremists and their supporters for years — not because it is dangerous, but because it is effective. Today it is @splcenter.org. But in a sense, we are all SPLC." - #DissentIsNotACrime
The @splcenter.org's indictment was decided before the DOJ interviewed a single employee or requested a single document. A federal court just threw out another case on the exact same grounds. Dismiss this case.

[email protected] is being targeted not because it’s dangerous, but because it’s an effective civil rights org. Today’s hearing is a distraction. 55 years of civil rights work will not be undone.

On the 105th anniversary of the Tulsa Massacre, we remember victims who never got justice. The pattern repeats: Black votes gutted, agents killing without accountability, 32 dead in ICE custody in 2025, deadliest in 2 decades. Accountability isn't partisan. The fight continues.
