Yes, it is distinctly a kids show and meant to be an entry into the franchise, but it CONSTANTLY rewards you if you have watched a lot of Star Trek and is basically a Voyager sequel in many ways.
We were talking the other night about the sort of vibe each letterboxd star rating has for us personally. I realized that my 2 and a half star ratings (out of 5, so exactly in the middle) are actually two different ratings for me. It's either "★★½ (complimentary)" or "★★½ (derogatory)".
That's what he would have wanted.
