It can't explain the 50 fake deal announcements, but there's a really good chance that there's no one to make a deal with because Trump killed anyone who might, and anyone who does make a deal would almost certainly be targeted by Israel.

It could be that there is no one leader to even make a deal with. And there's no deal this regime would accept that Netanyahu would abide by. But Trump's posturing is the Iranian's greatest asset, and letting him flounder and pound sand with his tail has weakened him more than anything.
