Another tragic case of road violence and example of language shielding accountability. A car didn’t kill 3 kids + 1 adult. A driver did. When we say “a car drove into a group,” responsibility disappears. Language shapes how we understand harm and accountability. www.derstandard.at/story/300000...
Pretty steep uphill climb but rewarding view 🚲😎 maps.app.goo.gl/tKT3UbMeAtUX...
Victim blaming exhibit 1: an elderly person on a bike was hit by a driver and severely injured. Of course the police report didn’t forget to mention he wasn’t wearing a helmet. But what they unfortunately forget to mention was: that the driver ran through a red light 🚦.
Another Bike tour in the south of Vienna. Pretty awesome lake on the trail 🚲🫶 maps.app.goo.gl/U5ohK2kC2Cy8...
The southern edge of Vienna offers excellent cycling conditions: plenty of bike paths, mostly flat terrain, and attractive scenery. A great option for a relaxed Saturday evening ride.

Great tactical urbanism exhibit 1🫶
My thoughts are with the victim’s family and everyone affected by this tragic case of road violence. At least the reporting clearly identifies the perpetrator instead of obscuring responsibility through passive language. Accurate reporting helps us understand causes wien.orf.at/stories/3357...
Das Verrückte an dieser Meldung ist: Der Autofahrer fuhr wohl über eine rote Ampel. Das sagte die Polizei aber erst auf Nachfrage. Dass das Opfer keinen Helm trug steht in der PM.
