stuff like this is why I think it's perfectly reasonable to focus more on the harms being done than the on the fun some people undoubtedly do have playing around with our latest "just a tool"

Update: both my US and UK publishers are sending cease and desist letters to the company behind the AI version of me, and demanding documentation on what was stolen.
I'm lucky to have this support. Not every creative person will. We need better laws in place to prevent exploitation.

A company reached out to me on IG, linking me to an AI version of myself. You can even ask "me" questions. They are also advertising it using an AI photo of me. They told me if I like it, they will give me free access... to my own fucking content that they stole. /1
