A very early (and janky) look at the bow golfing mechanics. The physics need a lot of polish but I think you get the idea.
Strange target fella
Working on a huge project that didn't do well before my current game was a blessing because I'm able to handle and manage scope creep and what is pushing too much for solodev.
Trying to figure out how the golf courses should look like. I think surrounding them in water makes sense as an easy visual for out of bounds. Fall into the water and you lose.
Mickey's Speedway USA and Crash Bash are in the same genre of "games that look assuming but have demonic energy underneath the surface"
I listened to the Lego Racers build mode music ONCE during game dev and its all I could hear during my sleep. Evil-ass song.
I think this would play a lot better if the physics chain was shorter as it bending all over the place makes it really unpredictable.
Final Bow Golf update until I actually make some courses for this. It now has the final polish pass. Programming this was a massive pain as I had to make physics objects behave nicely lol
Spent 2 hours just tweaking physics values until it worked right. Also changed how the camera works a bit. I'll give it another pass tomorrow, I've been up all day lol
So from what I understand collecting 1,000 red coins was the better choice than watching the Nintendo Direct.
