The data from 10th Ebola outbreak in the DRC (2018–2020) revealed a striking story: a small minority of cases (~18%) were responsible for 80% of all infections.
Isolation, contact follow-up, and ring vaccination all demonstrably cut transmission when they could be applied.

Good news amid cholera vaccine shortages:
Two-dose OCV schedules spaced at 6 or 12 months are immunologically non-inferior to the standard 2-week interval against V. cholerae O1.
👉 More flexibility, without compromising long-term immunity.
A systematic review and meta-analysis comparing IV and oral rehydration strategies in children with SAM and severe dehydration.
➡️no clear difference in mortality between the two approaches, although IV rehydration was associated with fewer adverse events.
