That project you’re working on right now could become a kid’s favorite. It could set off a series of thoughts that redirects their life or changes the whole way they view the world. If it’s just one kid, that’s pretty marvelous. Now think of the waves of kids your story will leave its mark on.
Was chatting about this during an interview with an author, but it was interesting enough that I’d like to open up the question to all of you: what’s the first literary/fictional death that made an impression on you as a kid? Mine has to be poor old Mary Lennox’s family in The Secret Garden.
