Every so often a new story pops up and everyone remembers that Elon is a white supremacist mass murderer who foments violence on his Nazi website. Then everyone forgets again.
It's just remarkable that if you're white, male, and conservative you are allowed to call for political violence that would get anyone who doesn't tick all those boxes absolutely pilloried.
The group with the fewest legitimate grievances in society provided the widest grace to rage.

I know I'm not the 1st to say it & it's not even the 1st time I've Said it but it really is long past time to revist the whole "presumption of regularity" but & all the other bullshit gentlemen's agreements this country depends on. Like… that world never really existed, & definitely doesn't anymore.
The violence in Belfast is a reminder of something I don’t want to take for granted: The fascists here hoped the response to the depredations of ICE would be similar, with people turning in or attacking their neighbors. That it was the very opposite is worth remembering in this season of despair
