Last night I muttered about how John Wick pretty much succeeds in everything he tries -- you end up with not so much a story as a series of events. I wonder what the impact on creativity is of always being to create as you please. (I'm learning a hell of a lot by trying to write 4000-word stories.)

The analogy, I think, is Hollywood budgets. Now that every movie costs $200M the only limit is the imagination of the writer and director. Movies can look *exactly* like they want them to, no compromises, no restraints.
