Did you know that different regions of the sun rotate at different rates? The sun is not a solid object, so rotation speeds can and do vary with latitude. The sun rotates once every ~24 days at the equator, and once every ~30 days at the poles! #SpaceFacts 🔭 www.nasa.gov/image-articl...

The Sun rotates on its axis once in about 27 days. This rotation was first detected by observing the motion of sunspots.
