The way I was very wary of and disliked a friend's now ex-boyfriend cuz he'd use the R slur and even if after I say something he's polite enough to not use it in my presence, I can't control him, I have no way of knowing if he's just using it when I'm absent, so fuck that guy tbh
The way I exited a server and budding friendship so fast over hearing one of the people in the server throwing around the R slur casually. Even if I take the time to say 'hey don't use that word' the fact that it cropped up in your casual vocab tells me a lot about the frequency in which you use it.
seeing companies just put out stuff that would've gotten my pay slashed or got me fired or just not make me worth hiring in the future feels both insulting and a betrayal. like, did anyone even care about brand management or was it just a power trip. I honestly don't know anymore.
