I recently took a scuba diving trip—a twelve-day liveaboard in Indonesia. We went island hopping, and one of them was Komodo Island, where I saw the infamous Komodo Dragons. Perhaps I was a little too close. 😆

Coincidentally, this Sebae Clownfish was finding refuge in a Sebae Anemone. They're named after Albertus Seba, the zoologist who catalogued them. Sebae Clowfish prefer carpet anemones.

I captured the Bode's and Cigar galaxies and Integrated Flux Nebulosity (IFN), aka interstellar dust. Long exposures for 35 hrs. on the new moon revealed the faint IFN.

In late 2025 and early 2026, we had a couple of amazing comets visible to the naked eye, C/2025 A6 Lemmon and C/2025 R3 (PanSTARRS). Both were recently discovered in 2025. ☄️🤩

The Styan's bulbul is endemic to Taiwan. Its population is declining, but it is still well established here in Hualien. Unfortunately, it is now classified as vulnerable to extinction.
