When I used to play live, my world was simpler. Just one 5150, tuner, wah-wah and a delay + EQ in the effects loop - that was it. And yet, I could do anything I wanted with it.
Now, at home, I’ve been tinkering with a pedalboard for a decade, and I’ll never be done. There’s just so much to discover.
Why StudioDoris as my 🦋-handle?
Doris ran a bar next to our rehearsal space. We drank so much that she ended up matching her opening hours to our rehearsal times.
Her real name was Evelyn, but the nickname ‘Doris’—a pun on ‘clitoris’—stuck.
We called our rehearsal room The Studio Doris. Great times.
I’d be interested to know how much guitar equipment ends up in a flat and how much was actually bought for day-to-day use on stage. I’d guess that 90% of it never makes it to the stage, but that’s just my humble opinion. I don’t know.
Schau mal, @martinschaible.ch was heute im Briefkasten lag 😀

It’s not all bad—I also own Gibson products that are perfectly crafted. 🤣 5am in Germany. Good morning, bastards! 😀

Pyramid hat gerade eine Test-Box im Programm. 5 Sätze 10-46 in verschiedenen Ausführungen. Ich spiele schon immer D'Addario. Mal sehen, was 'Made in Germany' so kann.
