Keep giving me accountability check-ins and a place to do my late night sprints (and sprint buddies to do them with!). I always feel like I should be farther along than I am, but I wouldn’t even be this far without the WW community. ❤️#weeknightwriters
Such a handy little book for learning and thinking about naming conventions. Where do they come from, why are they the way they are, and how can you adapt them to your own work to reflect and the develop the world and the culture of your story? And it's just fun to read. Highly recommended.
Pretty good this week, honestly. A LOT less craziness around the house, nights have been free, weather's been good. It's almost like there's a correlation between that and how much writing I get done... 🤔 #weeknightwriters
Breathe and enjoy the quiet time. It's going to go away sooner than I think, I'm sure. #weeknightwriters
I wrote to one of my favorite authors after she destroyed me (complimentary; I had to pull off the road at the end of the audiobook to cry happy tears without wrecking the car). I didn't get a response, but it didn't matter. It felt good writing it. I hope she felt good receiving it.
Lots of little things, I guess. Garden strawberries. Coltrane's "Blue Train" album. Chocolate chip cookies. Sitting outside to write. Stanley Cup finals. Feeling caught up for the first time in... years? Actually, that might be a big thing. #weeknightwriters
Hi, it's Jules. I'm writing book 1 of a possible 3. This one's the magical mid-life crisis heist novel I talk about every week. I'm pushing my way through redrafts on this one as hard as I can. It's been a really productive week actually, 1000+ words each of the last 3 days. #weeknightwriters
I finished Seasons of Glass and Iron, a short story collection by @amalelmohtar.com last night, and it was just what I needed right now. There's heartbreak, but also hope. There's weird, wondrous, luminous, mythic and more, and all of it fed my soul. Such a pleasure to experience.
