Thanks to some friends, I'm seeing #MastersOfTheUniverse so let's hope it doesn't fumble the bag.
Also I am convinced Jared Leto got dubbed over with a ghost actor because there is no way that's him playing Skeletor this well.
Teela not getting her actual outfit until the end is ridiculous though imo and Cringer getting a Rhodey "next time, baby" ass line was dumb imo and not in a flattering way
Skeletor was ironically the best part.
They let him be goofy without undermining him as a threat, he's still sinister without leaning too far and becoming "edgy".
He can call his goons "blockheads" in one scenes and melt a man in another.
The balance is perfect for him.
Alright, movie's over and I thought it was okay.
Like there's a lot of good here and a lot of bad but it wasn't terrible, wouldn't recommend against seeing it at the very least.
I certainly wish the movie's comedy wasn't so mixed between good jokes and obnoxious eye roll worthy irony.
The action was great though and the costume design is great too.
Should've given a name drop to Roger Sweet in the credits btw
