One boy made unexpected movements to get his energy out and neither had social spacial awareness. I’d be a mess if they were my boys to an even higher level. One had headphones on. All I kept thinking was about the fucking police. And white people. The world isn’t safe for othered folks. Sigh.
Shit like that gets to me hard. My granny was a teacher for autistic children so I spent a lot of time in her classrooms. My sister and niece also worked in direct service for autistic kids as well. It has just as much of a special place as disable folks and the unhoused.

Just saw a group of autistic teens in group and started cussing to myself about this useless bitch taking away funding for these kids. And also just worried about what that means especially for Black and Brown kids which they were. Two of the boys were the size of linebackers with baby faces.
