Dr Sara Josephine Baker, born in 1873, was a suffragette, a female physician, and openly gay. Her work in NYC teaching mothers with infants basic hygiene skills saved the lives of many babies and lead to the establishment of the Department of Health’s Division of Child Hygiene. #PrideMonth
