Rising temperatures driven by #climatechange can cause wild #cheetahs to change their behavior, including when they hunt. This can increase their chance of encountering other large predators, which can pose a risk to the #cats. cheetah.org/uk/2024/06/0...
POV: It's bedtime for Peter and Tigerlily at our Centre in #Namibia. These two #cheetah siblings are the oldest #cats at our Centre, rescued back in 2010, after being orphaned when they were just a few weeks old. Want to learn more about the #cheetahs we rescue and rehabilitate? Visit cheetah.org
We have wonderful news – CCF has been nominated for #BestofNamibia! We've been shortlisted in two categories: animal welfare and environmental #conservation. We are so grateful for the nomination! You can still cast a vote for CCF until June 19 ! To learn more, visit bestofnam.com/charities/
We believe #conservation starts with #education. ✨Our team in #Namibia regularly visits schools to talk about #cheetahs and why protecting them matters. This week, our educator Ignatius David visited Mareni Christian Academy, sharing insights and inspiring the next generation of #conservationists.
Cheetah #ASMR 🐾 from the Cheetah Rescue and Conservation Centre (CRCC) in Somaliland. Since 2023, the CRCC has been the primary intake point for #cheetahs rescued from the illegal wildlife trade, and now cares for #cats of all ages, from young cubs to seniors. Want to learn more? Visit cheetah.org
Snapshots of the Cheetah Rescue and Conservation Centre (CRCC) in Somaliland! Since 2023, the CRCC has been the primary intake point for #cheetahs rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. The Centre is home to #cats of all ages, from young #cubs to seniors. Want to learn more? Visit cheetah.org
During camera trap checks, our ecology team got a big surprise! The team spotted SIX adolescent #cheetahs at Tupuka’s play tree on CCF land in #Namibia! This could be the same group of #cubs spotted on camera a few months ago. A group like this could mean the #cats are group dispersing.
The RETURN OF THE CHEETAH #documentary series, produced by Warner Bros. Discovery in partnership with JETOUR, was recognized with FIVE international #film awards! The second installment focuses on Somaliland, and efforts to combat the illegal wildlife trade. Read more: cheetah.org/ccf-blog/suc...
POV: You find the perfect spot. 🐾 In the wild, #cheetahs often use natural features, like termite mounds, to get a better view of their surroundings (and the #cats we rehabilitate do it too). Want to learn more about our efforts to keep cheetahs in the #wild? Visit cheetah.org
Happy #WorldEnvironmentDay! Today, and every day, we're working to keep #cheetahs in the #wild, collaborating with partners and communities to generate #sustainable solutions allowing humans and #wildlife to thrive. Want to learn more? Visit cheetah.org

Rising temperatures force cheetahs to adjust their behaviour, becoming more nocturnal and increasing interactions with larger predators.
