This is horrific. It is also an incredibly common dogma of abuse culture, and not just among churches.
I've literally seen this rationale used by "transformative justice" types in radical spaces, and seen survivors and those who defend them extensively harassed for refusing it.
Like the lack of trans youth and younger adult care (because banning trans care for 18 year olds is an adult care ban, and a gateway to wider) literally kills trans people. A lot of us barely survived it. This is not an abstract issue or a goddamn bargaining chip.
Please, I beg you, stop asking generative AI your legal questions. The anti-Black planet destroying theft machine that only tells you what you want to hear is not a good source for ANYTHING when your home or freedom is on the line.

Trans commenter objecting to councilmembers who are up for reelection (without naming names) coming to community events for trans locals seeking handshakes and "photo ops." Trans locals feeling barraged when trying to get haircuts and massages #avlgov

While the direct rage was less than what we've seen during recent meetings, it's clear that #avlgov is feeling the heat for its destructive decisions. While it's not significantly changing outcomes (yet), it's a sign to keep pushing.

Unusual to see an affordable housing project like this get brought back less than one month after getting rejected, but it is an election year after all. And #avlgov faces increasing public outrage.
The entire way this social order deploys forgiveness and fetishizes redemption for abuses and oppression is a key part of its evil, and must be completely dismantled to get anywhere better.
