The marine ecologist hopes we can look back on this era as the moment we decided to band together and avert disaster through collective and consistent action.
The book moves between agricultural fields, cemeteries, suburban lawns and hair salons, examining how similar assumptions shape ideas about what is “wild” and what is “cultivated.”
