🎉Milestone: After two years of preparation and two intense months, today marks the final day of our Cohort 2026. Shown here are the completed shipment boxes and the dry ice prepared for the first sample delivery to HIOH. A huge thank you to the incredible team whose hard work made this possible.
Cohort Update from Côte d’Ivoire:🧪 Final samples from >1,000 participants and their livestock are now at our partner lab at CHU Bouaké for various analyses and long-term storage, while subsamples are underway to Germany as backup. Study results are being returned to local communities.
🐛Researchers at HIOH recently demonstrated that the larvae of the greater wax moth (Galleria mellonella) can work as a reliable pre-selector when studying human pathogens. This is a vital step in the attempt to reduce animal testing on mammals.
