We had 12 college students with us yesterday for a crash course in archive work!
At the end of the day we asked them what their highlights were, and here they are in their own words:
1. Rolling racks
'woah.'
'satisfying'
'surprisingly easy to use'
'looks like a film set'
And finally, the reading room chairs
'Most comfortable chair I've ever sat in'
2. Helping to organise a new collection
'A cutie patootie stack of letters'
We're currently up to just under 500 12th May diaries 😅 So far 156 have come in the post, but only ONE has had a wax seal

4. Looking through our directive on the supernatural:
'Get this girl on Uncanny'
'Absolute banger of a ghost story'
'Debatable truth'
3: Reading the advice column of Woman's Own
'It's like being on Reddit'
