This was a small study and not powered to determine efficacy, but it provides a foundation for future ctDNA studies in melanoma and treatment sequencing approaches. Thanks to funders, participating sites, and especially the patients involved.
4/5 Key finding #3: longitudinal ctDNA monitoring provided early signals of both treatment response and resistance, often before radiological changes were seen. 📈
Exciting conference alert! sites.manchester.ac.uk/from-lab-to-... Fantastic speakers including Chris Marine, Christian Blank Melanoma evolution Local microenvironment of melanoma Melanoma-host interactions Precision immunotherapy Emerging therapeutics Clinical trials and real-world data

3/5 Key finding #2: ctDNA enabled personalised treatment. Patients started targeted therapy and switched to immunotherapy after an 80% reduction in BRAF VAF in ctDNA. All patients reached this threshold, typically within 2–3 weeks. 💊
2/5 Key finding #1: rapid, real-time ctDNA testing is feasible. Across multiple centres, ctDNA results could be processed and reported within 7 days, supporting treatment decisions in real clinical practice. 🧬
