This was a small study and not powered to determine efficacy, but it provides a foundation for future ctDNA studies in melanoma and treatment sequencing approaches.
Thanks to funders, participating sites, and especially the patients involved.

Key finding #3: longitudinal ctDNA monitoring provided early signals of both treatment response and resistance, often before radiological changes were seen. 📈

Key finding #2: ctDNA enabled personalised treatment.
Patients started targeted therapy and switched to immunotherapy after an 80% reduction in BRAF VAF in ctDNA. All patients reached this threshold, typically within 2–3 weeks. 💊

Key finding #1: rapid, real-time ctDNA testing is feasible.
Across multiple centres, ctDNA results could be processed and reported within 7 days, supporting treatment decisions in real clinical practice. 🧬
Pleased to share results from the CAcTUS Phase II trial of ctDNA-guided therapy in BRAF-mutant advanced melanoma are now published! 🌵🧬
CAcTUS is the first melanoma trial to adapt treatment based on ctDNA testing.
