#HenryVIII Parliament passed the 2nd of 3 Succession Acts, in which it stated his daughters were illegitimate & removed from succession
Edward became heir in 1537 & the 3rd Act of 1543 returned Mary & Elizabeth to the succession after him
Indeed all 3 would wear the Crown 👑

The steeple of the deteriorating St Pauls Cathedral collapsed on fire after a lightning strike
Despite over £2K (£500K today) from #ElizabethI & the Bishop of London it was never rebuilt
Restored by #IndigoJones in 17thCent but rebuilt by #ChristopherWren & topped in 1708

Her wedding in 1539 to Emmanuel Philibert, Duke of Savoy wasn't as grand as planned, expedited as her brother King Henri II lay dying

Katherine was a loyal wife & Queen for 24yrs until he cast her aside for #AnneBoleyn

Norfolk took the opportunity to humiliate him snatching the St George's collar from Cromwell's shoulders
