Case in point: "Carmilla" by Wearingeul behaved flawlessly, and I am equally eager to write and paint with it.

It doesn't look like colour separation (something I am familiar with, and was expecting). It feels like the colour changed entirely.
I am aware fountain pen ink isn't designed to be used with water, but this hasn't been my experience with others so far!
