Odds they start with the FOIA and privacy office hover near 100%.
Expect these kinds of charges to occur more frequently unless we rein in overclassification. If the classified universe - and the outdated rules that come with it - continues to expand and more people gain access to classified info, it will increasingly be weaponized for political retribution.
This is why we need stricter oversight of, and more transparency around, the intelligence community's budget.

This is a must-read article from @foianate.bsky.social - and remarkable because the same day the Trump library told the Post it had no records of Trump's 1st term DMs, the same archivist told me in response to my FOIA that they did.

"He said he followed legal requirements to destroy documents in his possession."
No wonder Bondi’s DOJ was so comfortable telling Trump he can destroy his records.
Guess this explains why DOJ hasn’t been able to find any Bondi emails in response to FPF’s FOIA requests and suits… Even though personal emails are still supposed to be searched (and forwarded to govt accounts in 20 days)

In one meeting, Schofield said, a DOGE official working with the Department of Homeland Security described the goal of declaring 2.7 million living people dead: making immigrants so miserable that they self-deported or went to Social Security offices for help, where they could be arrested.

A nugget buried in the big & impressive NYT piece on how the Trump White House had an internal freak-out over the Epstein case....If Bondi didn't use DOJ email, what did she use? I recall a time when the right (and the NYT) went ballistic over a Cabinet official's use of non-government email.
