official mame (version 0.287) has now implemented these improvements, thanks to the hard work of bio_endo and other community members testing the past few months with shmupmame 4.3
it's not perfect (SDOJ expert for example is still inaccurate) but for the most part, we're getting there

im happy to report theres now a mame fork by coffeepope that accurately runs all of the modern cave stuff with slowdown implemented, heres a small sample i made
and here's the best part: this is a clip from a week ago. the build was already updated and is even more accurate now
