I don't know how many are familiar with MAD, but it's the Cold War doctrine of nuclear deterrence where the use of nuclear weapons by two opposing sides would result in the complete annihilation of both.
Wouldn't that concept also apply to Iran IF they acquired they acquired a nuclear weapon?
