NEW: Last week, @dmehro.bsky.social and @dell.bsky.social reported that Meta had shipped the code for a facial recognition system to the app used with its smart glasses. The next day, that code went missing from the app.
The code WIRED identified is gone from the latest version of Meta AI, the companion app for the company’s smart glasses. Meta won’t say why or whether it’s coming back.
