Update from Scottish Water: I arrived on site at the point where Murray burn meets the Water Of Leith. I found no issues with the watercourse, and all Scottish water assets were found to be in working order. Scottish water will continue to monitor this location over the next coming weeks.”
Just over two more weeks of schools outdoor learning before the holidays. The classroom will have seen almost 40 classes pass through as they connect to their local river and woodlands.
At this stage of the pilot Edinburgh’s cycle hire scheme really is just the gift that keeps on giving 🚴♂️

Eight months on, and there are now over 800 bikes in 200 locations in Edinburgh, with plans in place to expand the scheme further.

Reported this discoloured water flowing from the Murray Burn into the Water of Leith. Might be Scottish Water using a dye to trace things but could also be a pollution spill. REF: CAS-3191062-X3G8M @wolct.bsky.social
Firework Control Zones - (Note additional dispersal zones announced by the police later in the year) Report passed as read at the Culture & Communities Committee yesterday meaning Longstone will have a control zone for the next two years & good to see Gaskell St covered. Will please residents.
