There is no deep lore behind this, it's just a funny thing to imagine Shadow say.

What makes this bit so funny is that it's not just aimed at one particular series, but instead mocking the cutesy trend that was started by Disney and imitated by several studios trying to ape off their success by directly copying them (including MGM itself).
