On a more slightly more cynical note it may also allow them to get a priority review voucher from the FDA & accelerated approval. They have the data from the Triumph 2 & 3 coming any week now and at that point they can file for approval. Anyways, I'm spitballing a bit but this is still crazy to see:
I think a couple things. 1.) They're claiming that morbid obesity is at such a crisis point people need access now 2.) The only other option is bariatric surgery. 3.) People are getting it through the grey market and deserve it through a proper channel. But it's more than that Link below:

It appears Eli Lilly has applied for permission to enable single patient access to retatrutide on a per case basis prior to full FDA approval of retatrutide. Normally this is reserved for cancer or other rare or difficult to treat diseases. So WTH is Eli Lilly doing with this unprecedented step?

Yesterday the trial I was in for retatrutide showed a remarkable thing. 30% average weight loss over 104 weeks for the first time in a MEDICATION. This is medical history in the making.
It puts direct and indirect pressure on insurance companies to cover it when it's fully FDA approved. Why? Because they can say we're providing free compassion care to patients and our medicine is a breakthrough for patients and patients are already on it.
I don't think the public will grasp for some time how shocking these results are. I can foresee a future where many patients will just take retatrutide, because it literally fixes all the problems obesity causes. Diabetes too, it changes the equation immediately. Please share this far and wide!
