I really wouldn't be against the real world following the ending of READY PLAYER ONE and shutting the internet off on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Maybe things will get a little normal if all this *waves hands at the digitial nonsense* would shut up and stop once in a while.

This unfairly maligned movie is tons of fun for the first 90 minutes! Doesn't look like the original three but Spielberg finds the same spirit! A real blast!
Final 25 minutes - everything after the ants - is more messy than fun though.
Still a fan!

More than one person should’ve liked this and accepted KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL kinda fucks - or at least is a good tease - but I guess culturally we’re not ready for that discussion yet.

3 minutes into READY PLAYER ONE & Spielberg has very aggressively been telling the viewer through visuals, blocking, dialogue & voiceover how much this world SUCKS and some people think he views this world as aspirational cause he plays nostalgic 80s songs on the audio track?
Media literacy is gone.
READY PLAYER ONE is the only American blockbuster that comes close to giving me that AVATAR high.
Spielberg is doing a very different thing from Cameron - Avatar goes for total real world immersion while RPONE plays up the artificiality and has super magic camera moves - but both make me giddy.
