Poland’s parliament has voted almost unanimously in favour of a bill banning online content depicting illegal, abusive or degrading behaviour. It is intended to clamp down on what is known in Poland as "patostreaming" (meaning "pathological streaming").

Poland has named a Moroccan man, Mohamed Addamrou, as the suspect in the 2024 murder of a Polish soldier, Mateusz Sitek, who was fatally stabbed while trying to stop a group of migrants from forcing their way through the border from Belarus to Poland.
