How 92-year-old esteemed historian Gordon S. Wood was hit and killed by a motor vehicle in a Rhode Island supermarket parking lot on Sunday remained under investigation on Tuesday, as police review any factors that could have contributed to the crash.
“Right now, it’s just a horrible, tragic accident,” East Providence Mayor Bob DaSilva said Tuesday.
