Professor Sir Shankar Balasubramanian is one of three scientists who jointly received the prestigious Princess of Asturias Award for Scientific and Technical Research this month. The award recognises Prof Balasubramanian and his co-recipients for their pioneering work in DNA sequencing technologies.
