At Mordeford, Heref. someone called Gerson apparently dispatched an 8-winged serpent-shaped dragon during the reign of Mary I. John Aubrey thought it a fable, not as dragons were impossible in principle, but cos this dragon violated basic physical laws. #FolkloreThursday
